Ground Stabilization – Important for Any Foundation

There are many things to consider when dealing with the clay soil. The properties of soil keeps on changing and therefore you need to take an extra care in order to adjust with the change in actions of the soil. For obvious reasons, we would not want our foundation to crack within months due to the change in moisture. The moisture changes the movement of the soil. The clay shrinks during the dry seasons and it grows on rainy season. This can also be noticed in any area of the soil where you can see the cracks.

If you are working on an area which is made up of expansive soils then you would need to level the ground with the lime. Thus, ground stabilization plays a very important role for a solid basement. In this you not only have to remove the earth in the area you are using as basement but also have to pour lime in the trenches that are put into. These trenches act as a solid base for your home.
